Ok, so here is the big one, and the fun one, curriculum! If nothing explodes your brain more it’s trying to pick the perfect curriculum. Well, I can tell you that there are tons that are perfect for you and your learner. Don’t feel that you have to stick with one or that you can’t change if you feel like your kiddos need something different. THAT is the beauty of homeschooling. Schools can’t change their curriculum, but you can! Below is a list of curriculum that local homeschool families use and recommend!
Secular resources are free from any & all religious bias. Secular curriculum takes care to educate without regard to anyone’s religious belief, including the author’s. Secular programs often cover world religions extensively. Truly secular homeschool programs support the teaching of evolution as a scientific theory exclusively.
Neutral resources tend to completely avoid the science vs religion debate altogether. Neutral resources are typically published in the secular market by religious authors and publishers. These resources usually need supplementation, especially science.
Generally speaking, when it comes to home education resources, non-secular resources are “generally Christian” with no bias toward one particular sect of Christianity, and their science will probably lean neutral.
